SMP Negeri 28 Raja Ampat is one of the junior high school educational institutions located in Kampung Go, Tiplol Mayalibit District, Raja Ampat Regency, Southwest Papua. As part of the national education system, this school is under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Culture through the Raja Ampat Regency Education and Culture Office.

Situated on the edge of Mayalibit Bay, the main access to SMP Negeri 28 Raja Ampat relies on sea transportation. The journey from the capital of Raja Ampat Regency, Waisai City, takes about three hours using a 15 PK engine boat. Despite the significant geographical challenges faced, the school remains dedicated to providing quality education services to the local community.

With C accreditation, according to certificate number 021/BAP-SM/LL/X/2016 issued on October 29, 2016, SMP Negeri 28 Raja Ampat continues to strive to improve the quality of education. The existence of this school is important as part of efforts to educate the nation's life, especially in remote areas such as Raja Ampat, which has extraordinary natural potential but also faces limited access to education.
